Such were some of the horror stories that it was as if the ghosts of the British motor industry past had returned to haunt the car. There were build quality problems, electrical issues and oil leaks galore, and while things improved markedly Well 1 rear sensor has failed. Possibly 2 if it’s being going on a long time. You either need someone with an iid code reader to see what fault codes are present and read what distance the sensors report. We just purchased a Land Rover Discovery 4 2012 with 67,000 kms 2 days ago. Driving home from dealer we had the Gear Box Fault warning light come on and had to pull over as car was sluggish. Turned off car restarted drove home. Many Land Rover Discovery 3 & 4 reliability issues stem from air suspension failures, Electronic park brake failures, and the dreaded crank-shaft seizures.
